Mark Gmehling is a German artist who started doing Graffiti in the late eighties. He became tired of the scene at one point and started trying different kind of media and techniques to create his visual statements. The paint-brush became a spray can and later it became a Wacom-tablet.
Inspired by pop culture, he developed his photorealistic style.The popularity of Mark Gmehling and his work has growing fast during the past few years. Mark exhibited all over Europe, London, Berlin, Weil am Rhein, Paris, Dortmund, Angers, Brussels, as well in Moscow and very shortly in New York and Taiwan. He has been awarded with the silver CLIO award in 2011 and won the French famous urban art award ARTAQ in 2012

La popularité de Mark et de son travail ne cesse de grandir depuis ces dernières années. Il expose ses oeuvres à travers l’Europe (Londres, Berlin, Weil, Rhein, Paris, Dortmund, Angers, Brussels) mais aussi à Moscou et depuis peu New York et Taiwan. Il a été récompensé par le prix d’argent CLIO 2011 et à gagné le prix ARTAQ en 2012.
